1934--- Carl Sagan was born on November 9, in Brooklyn, New York.
1951 -- He graduated from Rahway High School in New Jersey
1962 -- He worked at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
1971 -- He became a full professor at Cornell and directed the Laboratory for lanetar Studies here.
